Introduction

wapTV is a multiple award-winning family entertainment channel founded on October 1, 2012, by Wale Adenuga Productions, Nigeria’s Foremost Private Film and Television Production Company. Wale Adenuga Productions is also the brains behind PEFTI Film Institute.

Since it began broadcast, wapTV has quickly grown to be a top entertainment channel in Nigeria by building on the wide acceptance that the Wale Adenuga Brand has enjoyed for over 4 decades of providing top-notch family entertainment to millions of homes all over the country.

wapTV is targeted at all members of the family and in order to better reach the majority of Nigerians, wapTV’s major language is Pidgin English which is spoken and understood by over 250 ethnic groups in the country as well as other African countries.
